SterIndex is a static website publishing news summaries and a manufacturer directory in the field of sterile processing and surgical instrumentation. The site is hosted on GitHub Pages at alex-yakubovski.github.io/sterindex.

SterIndex is hosted by GitHub Pages, a service of GitHub Inc. (a Microsoft subsidiary). GitHub may collect server-side access logs — including IP addresses and request metadata — as part of its standard infrastructure operation. SterIndex has no access to, and makes no use of, any logs or data collected by GitHub.
Every article on SterIndex contains a link to the original source publication (PubMed, FDA, CDC, WHO, or other third-party sites). When you follow one of these links, you leave SterIndex and enter a third-party website governed by its own privacy policy. SterIndex has no control over, and accepts no responsibility for, the data practices of any external site.
The Producers Directory links to manufacturer websites. The same applies — clicking a "Visit" link takes you to a third-party site outside SterIndex's control.
Article summaries are generated offline using a locally hosted AI language model (Ollama) running on private infrastructure. No reader data, browsing behaviour, or content from your visit is ever passed to any AI system.
The AI model processes only publicly available source abstracts fetched from PubMed, FDA, CDC, and WHO RSS feeds during the site build process, which runs offline and separately from the published website.
SterIndex is intended for adult medical and healthcare professionals. The site does not knowingly collect any information from children under the age of 16. If you believe a child has submitted personal information through this site, please contact us and we will take appropriate action.
This privacy policy may be updated occasionally. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. As no personal data is collected, changes are unlikely to affect your privacy in any material way.
